Ohio’s College Credit Plus Program: Participants’ First-Year College Performance

This exploratory study assessed the relationship between participation in Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) program and subsequent first-year GPA following college or university matriculation. Positive correlations were found cumulative all three dimensions of CCP assessed: credit hours completed, number general education courses taken, career pathway taken. Regression analysis accounted for more variance than path courses, although Fischer’s Z-test an interaction effect was not significant. Interpretation results emphasizes need comparative longitudinal follow-up studies to establish causality.
